Which Lens Should I Choose?Updated 2 days ago

Avulux offers multiple lens options. The best starting point is the lens that matches where you struggle most (indoors/screens vs. brighter outdoor environments), plus how often you need performance outdoors.

Option 1: Avulux lens - Our original Avulux Migraine & Light Sensitivity lens -  (day-to-day / mild outdoor)

Start with the Avulux lens if you want a simple, everyday solution and:

  • you’re mostly indoors with occasional outdoor time
  • your typical outdoor brightness is mild (for example, many “up north” environments)
  • you’re looking for a comfortable day-to-day option without needing a sport-focused lens

Option 2: Avulux Adapt (screens + indoor lighting)

Start with Avulux Adapt if your most common triggers are:

  • extended screen time
  • LED or fluorescent lighting
  • office lighting

Adapt is the best starting point for many people as it’s functional indoors and outdoors in strong sun.

Option 3: Avulux Atlas (brighter environments / outdoor performance)

Start with Avulux Atlas if your biggest challenges are:

  • sunlight / outdoor brightness
  • glare and reflections in bright conditions
  • outdoor activities where light is intense (especially around water or snow)

If you experience both (common)

Many people experience a mix. Two common approaches:

  • One-lens approach: start with the lens that matches the environment that triggers you on most days.
  • Two-lens approach: use a day-to-day lens (Avulux or Adapt) and swap to Atlas for brighter environments or sport.

Example: If you live in a mild-sun area and mainly need a daily pair, start with Avulux — and keep Atlas for boating/fishing, snow glare, or high-reflection situations.

Prescription vs. non-prescription

Choose prescription if you need vision correction. Choose non-prescription if you don’t.
